BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS

When writing emails or presenting in another language or culture to an international audience, you are responsible for communicating your message clearly and effectively, and in the way you intend.

This workshop is unlike any other: In a minimal time, participants can master:

• the art of making clear and impactful presentations to an international audience, with more confidence.
• techniques to take their professional business emails writing skills to the next level.

MODULE I: The Art of Creating & Delivering a Business Presentation [2 hours]

You will learn how to:

• Structure your presentation with more clarity, logic and impact in five steps.
• Put the focus on your audience and understand what information they need to hear.
• Overcome your fear of public speaking with 10 simple tips.
• Perfect your executive presence and body language (gesture, voice, etc.).
• Use impactful words and expressions for various types of presentations.
• Build short but powerful introductions that grab attention, and conclusions that prompt your audience to take action.
• Deliver a strong and professional presentation targeted at foreign executives.
• Improve your delivery, body language and web-cam presence to keep the attention of your online audience.

MODULE II: Techniques to Write Professional and Clear Emails [2 hours]

You will learn how to:

• Get your emails noticed and get faster replies from any reader.
• Attain the desired outcome of your emails by staying focused on next steps.
• Shorten your emails while delivering your full intended message.
• Use simple methods to map your messages clearly and to bring out critical information (with individual exercises).
• Improve your emails’ writing style and level of professionalism.
• Write your email opening and closing lines and sign-offs suitably for different readers.

Participants are given printed material of the workshop for self-study.

• Held management positions in finance, telecommunications, business intelligence, and consulting in Montreal, New York, Seoul, and Washington D.C.
• Former Chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
