French Business Awards 2025 - Winners Announcement
Discover the fourth companies that won a French Business Award in 2025 for their outstanding performances !
Every year the FKCCI is organizing the French Business Awards to reward companies from the French-Korean community for their accomplishments. The winners will also be able to compete in the international competition of “CCI France International Business Awards” gathering 30 French CCIs abroad and 150 candidate companies, under the high patronage of the French President and sponsored by various organizations and media.
After careful evaluation by our esteemed jury, the following companies have been recognized for their first-class achievements :
Best French Entrepreneur in Korea: IT-Concept
It Concept was honored with the Best French Entrepreneur in Korea award.
IT CONCEPT is a technology consulting and technology outsourcing company located in Seoul. It is specialized in infrastructure server, network, security and IT governance. Since 2011 its multicultural team (Korean, English and French) support companies in the achievements of their projects with a range of turnkey personalized IT solutions.
IT-CONCEPT began its entrepreneurial journey as a freelance venture and has since grown into a thriving SME, consisting of around 20 individuals passionate about IT. Over the years, it has successfully blended both Korean and French work cultures, carving a niche in the South Korean market. Its expertise in the French-Korean IT sector allows the company to guide clients, particularly French organizations, as they establish their presence in Korea. By offering tailored IT solutions and support, IT-CONCEPT not only contributes to their clients' success but also fosters stronger ties between the French and Korean business communities.
Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Lycée Français Séoul
Lycée Français Séoul got rewarded with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award.
The Lycée Français Séoul (LFS) is a non-profit organization, an educational institution that is accredited by the French Ministry of National Education for all levels, from Kindergarten to High School, and approved by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. The LFS aims at providing French-style education in a multilingual environment. With a 100% success rate in the Baccalaureate exam, the LFS offers an education driven by excellence, working as a gateway to French and international universities.
In 2022, the LFS achieved the 2nd level of the EFE3D certification, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development through a collaborative project team involving students, teachers, school leaders, and parents. The team has implemented practical actions such as a print management software to reduce paper usage, student-led solidarity initiatives, financial aid programs for families in need, and the installation of a green wall maintained by eco-delegates. These efforts integrate sustainability into the school’s operations and curriculum at all levels.
Best Export Performance: Thales
Thales was honored with the Best Export Performance award.
Thales is a global leader in advanced technologies within three domains: Defence & Security, Aeronautics & Space, and Digital Identity & Security. It develops products and solutions that help make the world safer, greener and more inclusive. Thales in Republic of Korea employs 60 people engaged in providing solutions that help customers make critical decisions. With a strategy of strong collaboration with key local industrial players, Thales is helping build local expertise in Korea by engaging in transfer of knowledge, technology and production.
Thales' groundbreaking innovation with the Connected eSE, which integrates an eSE and eSIM into a single security chip, earned it recognition in the Best Export Performance category. This advanced solution offers state-of-the-art security for NFC services and demonstrates Thales' leadership in the global eSIM market, fostering trust with key service providers in mobile connectivity, finance, automotive, and beyond. The company’s commitment to both technological advancement and sustainable development further highlights its significant contribution to the global market.
Best Korean Establishment in France: SK geo centric
SK geo centric won the Best Korean Establishment in France Award.
Since the operation of Korea's first petrochemical plant in 1970, SK geo centric has been taking the lead in developing Korea's petrochemical industry through continuous innovation and top-notch technology. SK geo centric combines the words “geo” (meaning “earth”) and “centric” (meaning “center”), to convey the company’s strong determination to solve the plastic pollution problem while prioritizing the environment.
In 2020, SK Geo Centric acquired SK Functional Polymer from the French chemical leader Arkema, strengthening its ties to France. In 2023, it announced plans to expand EA-T Grade production at the Balan plant, with investments through 2026, boosting high-performance, eco-friendly product output. The company also supports the Ministry of Environment's plastic waste reduction campaign and develops sustainable packaging materials to significantly improve recycling rates, showcasing its commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability.
