Decathlon opens its third store in Korea
On July 4th, Decathlon opened its third store in Korea in Goyang city near Seoul!
The company held a large inauguration event, inviting several communities and new partners to share healthy living and sport practices in the neighboring community. Several games and challenges for Decathlon customers were organized, where each participant could win gift products. The French-Korean celebrity actor and model, Fabien Yoon, brand ambassador of Decathlon Korea, accompanied the opening ceremony. Other Instagram and sports influencers were part of the event as well to discover and share the company’s products.
The new store located in Goyang on 1700 sqm sells equipment in more than 40 different sport practices. The highlight of this store is that it will be focused on community building and host classes regularly, the company said. It will also feature test zones for customers to try innovative and technical products directly in the store.
This is the 3rd Decathlon store in Korea. “We share our passion through our smart priced apparels & equipment for more than 40 sports under one roof”, said a company official, “a one of a kind experiences in sports goods in the South Korean market”.
As the company mission states, they aim at "making sports sustainable and accessible to the many", through unique customer experience and sharing the passion of sports while having fun & staying healthy.
