Newcomers’ Seminar: how to succeed at your integration as an expatriate in South Korea
On October 7th, 2022, the FKCCI welcomed freshly arrived expatriates in Korea for a full day-long seminar to give them all the essential information and useful advice to succeed in their new Korean journey!
Every year, the FKCCI welcomes more and more expatriates as the Land of the Morning Calm is becoming more attractive and offers better conditions to the foreign business community. However, smooth integration is not always easy in a country that has such different cultural, social and economic systems.
So, we invited a fine selection of experts – some of whom have stayed in Korea for several decades! - to share their keys to successful integration into this new environment through a rich program:
- French presence in South Korea and Korean cultural systems by David-Pierre Jalicon, FKCCI Chairman and the first French architect to have founded his architectural firm in Korea
- Macroeconomic situation by Adeline-Lise Khov, Economic Counsellor of the French Embassy in Korea, to understand economic essential facts
- Digital ecosystem by Olivier Mouroux, CEO & Co-founder of Asiance
- Korean Working Culture by Philippe Tirault, Managing Partner of DHR International
- Korean Laws and regulations by Johan Vandromme, Senior Advisor at Kim & Chang
- Taxation and Social Security for Expatriates in Korea by Julien Herveau, Managing Partner of Mazars Korea
- Guide to Banking in Korea by David Friedman, Relationship Manager of Foreign Direct Investment Marketing Team of Hana Bank
- Image of France in Korea, by Ida Daussy, Media figure, Entrepreneur and Professor at Sookmyung Women’s University
- Seoul Accueil and activities for expatriates, by Virginie Gry, President of Seoul Accueil
See you next year for the next edition of the newcomers’ seminar and in the meantime, do not hesitate to contact the FKCCI for any information useful for your expatriation and professional development in Korea!
