FKCCI Successfully Participated at VivaTech 2024 with KAIST and KIDP, Propelling Korean Startups in France
In the bustling heart of Paris, where innovation meets opportunity, the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) made a resounding mark at VivaTech 2024. As the first French Chamber of Commerce to join forces with Korean startup organizations, FKCCI exemplified its commitment to fostering international collaboration and advancing technological innovation.
From May 22 to 25, 2024, at Viva Technology, Europe's premier startup festival, FKCCI stood proudly alongside esteemed Korean institutions such as KOTRA(Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), KISED (Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development), and Gyeonggi-do DX Zone to connect nine Korean startups with business opportunities in the French tech ecosystem.
Alongside KAIST and KISED, FKCCI provided these startups with a platform to showcase their technologies, enhancing their visibility and business prospects in Europe and globally. The impact was tangible and profound as Korean startups engaged with titans of industry such as LVMH, Chanel, Renault, Airbus, CMA CGM, and Saint-Gobain. Their booths became focal points of interest, drawing visits from dignitaries including the French Minister of Agriculture, members of the National Assembly, and the Korean Ambassador to France.
Beyond the exhibition floor, FKCCI orchestrated a comprehensive on-site program in collaboration with Choose Paris Region and CCIFI. These initiatives offered invaluable support ranging from market entry consultations to Proof of Concept (POC) proposals and investor meetings. This hands-on assistance demonstrated FKCCI's commitment to fostering growth and international partnerships for Korean startups in France.
This collaborative effort resonates deeply against the backdrop of Korea's recognition as the Country of the Year at VivaTech 2023, setting the stage for the presence of Vivatech organizers during initiatives like Tech4Good. This one week learning expedition organized by La French Tech Seoul in collaboration with FKCCI, encouraged exchanges and supported innovation between French and Korean startups (register for the 2024’s edition now).
In essence, FKCCI's participation at VivaTech 2024 was more than a milestone; it was a testament to their proactive role in advancing Korean innovation on a global scale. By nurturing partnerships, facilitating introductions, and amplifying visibility, FKCCI not only showcased the prowess of Korean startups but also underscored France's openness to embracing international innovation.
