Cosmetic Valley welcomed the South Korean Minister of SMEs and Startups at the Beauty Hub in Chartres

Cosmetic Valley welcomed the Korean Minister of SMEs and Startups to showcase French innovation from young startups !

Cosmetic Valley amplifies the voice of the cosmetic industry on a global scale. It serves as a genuine accelerator for French SMEs and startups, renowned for its remarkable network dynamics that foster innovation in Made in France cosmetic products.

After establishing strong partnerships with several major players in South Korea (Seoul City, Jeju Island Technopark), which have already facilitated concrete business ventures for French stakeholders, Cosmetic Valley had the honor of hosting Ms. Young Lee, the South Korean Minister of SMEs and Startups, at the Vivatech exhibition, as well as on June 19th, at the Beauty Hub in Chartres.

This ministerial visit shows the interest by the South Korean Government in COSMETIC VALLEY, which they consider as

" a global benchmark in terms of innovation ecosystem and SME internationalization."

Through the expertise and technological development of French SMEs and startups in the cosmetic industry, this visit by the Minister provides an opportunity to highlight Cosmetic Valley's experience in supporting exportation and business innovation. This meeting has undoubtedly build upon the existing exchanges between Cosmetic Valley and South Korean authorities to promote business opportunities and cooperation projects between the two countries.

As part of its efforts to enhance the capabilities of SMEs, Cosmetic Valley has implemented dedicated support programs for startups. In this regard, Cosmetic Valley has participated in Vivatech, the annual exhibition dedicated to technological innovation and startups. It represented the entire cosmetic industry and host various roundtable discussions and workshops on topics such as the transformation of the industry through artificial intelligence, leveraging data for customer journeys in cosmetics, and eco-responsible cosmetics for alternative beauty consumption.

Since 2020, Cosmetic Valley has created a thriving ecosystem for cosmetic industry startups through the Beauty Hub, a national sector-specific third-place, and its startup acceleration program. To explore this true business catalyst, the South Korean Minister of SMEs and Startups visited Chartres on June 19th, to tour the Beauty Hub and engage with all stakeholders in the French cosmetic industry.

This official South Korean visit is likely not the last of the year, as new personalities are expected to attend Cosmetic 360 in October, the "Vivatech" dedicated to perfumery and cosmetics.
