Champagne Perrier-Jouët Meets Gastronomy with World-Renowned Chef Pierre Gagnaire

(Wednesday, April 2, 2025) Pernod Ricard Korea announced on April 2 that Perrier-Jouët, the Champagne known for transforming nature into art, successfully held a celebratory Gala lunch to mark the launch of the Perrier-Jouët Society, in collaboration with world-renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire.
Held on March 27, the event officially celebrated the launch of the Perrier-Jouët Society, a global embassy program introduced in Korea for the first time, at Pierre Gagnaire à Seoul at Lotte Hotel. It was designed to spotlight Perrier-Jouët as a key partner in Korea’s evolving gastronomic culture—and more broadly, as a contributor to global gastronomic culture. Adding to the significance of the occasion was the attendance of Chef Pierre Gagnaire, Perrier-Jouët’s global ambassador and a chef celebrated with three Michelin stars.
Gracing the event were six of Korea’s most acclaimed chefs, appointed as the inaugural ambassadors of the Perrier-Jouët Society at each Embassy: Chef Kim Do-yun of Yun Seoul; Chefs Kim Hee-eun and Yoon Dae-hyun of SOUL; Chef Eom Tae-cheol of Soseoul Hannam; Chef Yoon Yerang of Moulin; and Chef Jang Myeong-sik of L'AMITIE. Also in attendance were rising culinary talents from CJ CheilJedang’s Cuisine.K program, who represent the future of Korean gastronomy. Together, they explored the culinary landscape and the harmony of fine cuisine and champagne.
Widely regarded as a master who has elevated French cuisine into an art form, Chef Pierre Gagnaire presented a unique gastronomic experience where his visionary culinary philosophy met Perrier-Jouët Champagne. The Executive Chef of Pierre Gagnaire à Seoul, Frédéric Eyrier, and Chef Thierry Méchinaud, who came to Korea with Chef Gagnaire for this event, prepared a 5-course meal perfectly paired with 4 varieties of Perrier-Jouët Champagne. The dishes, which featured Korean ingredients such as Jeju bacon and abalone, highlighting a seamless fusion of local flavors with the Maison’s refined Champagnes. To commemorate the appointment of the Perrier-Jouët Society’s first embassies, each chef was granted [CM1] Pa bespoke chef’s jacket embroidered with Perrier-Jouët’s signature anemone motif, as well as a commemorative plaque adorned with a three-dimensional floral pattern. The celebration concluded with a Meet & Greet session where Chef Gagnaire, the ambassadors, and the young chefs exchanged inspiration around gastronomy and delved into the art of pairing with champagne.
