Agamy wins gold medal in the Berlin Wine Trophy and will participate in Asia Wine Trophy
This year, one of Agamy’s best seller received a gold medal in the Berlin Wine Trophy among thousands of wines, 40 countries represented featuring 400 international judges. A great recognition of the cooperative wine cellar’s savoir-faire!
Over the years, Agamy won several medals in national and international competitions such as decanter, Guide Hachette or Sakura Awards, etc.
Thanks to its experience and its savoir-faire Agamy exports worldwide, such as in Europe, the US, Japan, Russia, etc. Since last year the winery is focusing on the development of its business in Asia and especially in South Korea, where the wine market is steadily growing. As part of its efforts to expand, Agamy will participate, for the first time, in the Asia Wine Trophy, which is taking place in Daejeon in August 2021. It is one of the largest wine competitions in Asia with 140 judges from all the main importing countries of Asia.
Agamy was born in 2016 from the merger of 4 historical cellars: Bully, Quincié, Coteaux du Lyonnais & Vignerons Foréziens. Thanks to this, Agamy became the largest producer of Beaujolais, Coteau du Lyonnais and Côtes du Forez.
Agamy vineyards flourish on the most beautiful areas of Gamay: Beaujolais mounts, volcanic Forez terroirs and Lyonnais hills. By working in these different terroirs Agamy provides a wide range of wines with easy to drink wines as well as high level wines. Every year, the cellar masters produce red, rosé and white wines, still and sparkling, reflecting their passion for winemaking and the remarkable care given by the winegrowers to the growing of their vines. The winery puts an emphasis not only on the quality of the wines but also on the preservation of the environment as most of its vineyards are certified HEV3 (High Environmental Value), which is the highest level of this certification.
