The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Orchestra on tour in South-Korea

From July 20th to 30th 2024, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Orchestra will be performing again in South Korea, delighting its Korean public!

After achieving great success in the United States, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes National Orchestra is enthusiastically preparing for a tour in South Korea from July 23 to 27, 2024. The musicians are eager to reconnect with the South Korean audience, whom they had the pleasure to encounter in 2022. The French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry notably had the privilege of welcoming the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes National Orchestra during their visit in 2022 for FKCCI's grand year-end Gala. The participants rediscovered the region's wonders with an exquisite performance by 21 exceptional string players and the brilliant conductor Thomas Zehetmair, who interpreted some of Maurice Ravel’s and Johannes Brahms’s finest pieces.

This tour, led by principal conductor Thomas Zehetmair, will include four concerts, showcasing two different programs centered on the cello and violin repertoire, featuring Sung-Won Yang and Thomas Zehetmair as soloists. The program will include works by Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Franck. The tour promises to be a memorable summer event for both the musicians and the audience.
