Jeju Bunker des Lumieres, ‘Monet, Renoir… Chagall’ Exhibition, extended until September

Bunker des Lumieres, Jeju’s first immersive media art exhibition hall, is extending the ‘Monet, Renoir… Chagall’ exhibition until September 12. This is to provide more people with sufficient viewing opportunities thanks to great response, such as being selected as one of the “must-see places” recommended by the Korea Tourism Organization last year.

Because the Bunker des Lumieres is special in that it does not hold the same exhibition again with the same subject, there were many people who visited the exhibition whenever the subject changed. This is considered one of the exhibitions with a particularly large number of visitors who revisit the exhibition on the same subject to re-experience the impressive sense of realism. So this extension is good news not only for those who haven't visited yet, but also for re-visitors who have had difficulties in scheduling their revisit.

The exhibition features more than 500 works by 20 artists ranging from impressionism to modernism, including Monet, Renoir, and Chagall, who worked on the Mediterranean coast, as well as Pissarro, Signac, and Dufy.

Park Jin-woo, CEO of Bunker des Lumieres, said, “We have decided to extend the exhibition due to the continued interest and support of visitors to Bunker des Lumieres.” He added that he would like to repay those who visited the Bunker des Lumieres during the rest of the time with a picturesque day with famous masterpieces unfolding against the backdrop of the Mediterranean sun and the beach. He said, "I hope the artistic experience at Bunker des Lumiers will be a source of energy in the exhausting daily life of the pandemic era."
