Global Policy Trends on the 4th industrial Revolution 2020
“AI and Human: In Era od AI Around the Corner, ‘How will Human-Being Live?’”
The Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution has held an annual conference since 2018, where policy experts from home and abroad have gathered together to share the policies of each country’s fourth industrial revolution and strengthen international cooperation.
This year conference will be a place to share policies and strategies in various fields, including scientific technology, industrial economy, and social systems, while preparing for the era of human-centered AI is approaching even earlier than expected amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The PCFIR (Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution) deliberates upon and coordinates important policy matters pertaining to the development and acquisition of new science and technology, including artificial intelligence (AI) and data technology, as well as new industries and services necessary for Korean society’s adaptation to the 4th Industrial Revolution. The committee’s legal basis can be found in the Presidential Decree on the Creation and Management of the PCFIR, promulgated and effective as of August 22, 2017.
