FKCCI Engages in High-Level Dialogue at Luncheon with Acting President Choi Sang-Mok
On January 9, the FKCCI represented by its Chairman, Mr. David-Pierre Jalicon, joined a luncheon with Acting President Choi Sang-Mok, Vice Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance and Economy, alongside representatives from the KGCCI, ECCK, and BCCK. The event brought together eight European companies, including the French leaders Pernod Ricard and Airbus, fostering dialogue on Korea’s evolving economic challenges and opportunities for resilience.
Acting President Choi highlighted several measures undertaken to restore predictability and stability in Korea, such as appointing two Supreme Court judges and establishing a steering committee in preparation for the upcoming elections.
He emphasized the Korean people’s strong commitment to protecting the economy, asserting that the nation’s economic stability would not be compromised.
During the luncheon, the Acting President announced supporting forthcoming financial aid and tax incentives.
The FKCCI Chairman highlighted the essential role of maintaining transparent and continuous communication between the Korean government and the foreign business community to ensure accurate and timely information. He emphasized that strengthened cooperation is more critical than ever, as all stakeholders are part of a shared economic ecosystem rooted in the Korean context. This unity, built on mutual trust and collaboration, serves as a compelling example of resilience and solidarity in challenging times in order to restore credibility, the image and the attractiveness of Korea.
